Description

Rapeseed wax for molds is a 100% vegetable wax obtained through the hydrogenation of rapeseed oil. This natural rapeseed wax offers a silky texture, a light scent, and is free from pesticides, herbicides, and genetically modified organisms (GMOs). It has excellent stability and balance, allowing the addition of colorants and fragrances to customize the final product. Due to its high melting point and hardness, this wax is ideal for making molded candles, tapers, and decorative figures.

How to Use Rapeseed Wax for Molded Candles

Follow this simple step-by-step guide to learn how to make soy candles for molds! This wax is very easy to use and allows you to create unique and personalized candles. - First, melt the rapeseed wax for molds in a saucepan over medium heat, about 10-15ºC above the melting point. Make sure the wax is completely melted and transparent. If this step is not done correctly, crystals or frost may form when solidifying. - While the wax is melting, thread the wick into the mold or place a guide stick, depending on the type of mold you have chosen. - Fill the mold with wax at about 45ºC (±5ºC) and let it solidify in a place free of drafts and sudden temperature changes. - It is very important to ensure the candle is fully dry before unmolding. Cooling too quickly can cause wet spots and cracks, while cooling too slowly can cause frost formation. - Unmold when the candle has completely cooled. Rapeseed wax is not as firm as paraffin, so you need to be careful with this step. When the candle is cold and solid, it is ready to use.
