Heart-Shaped Candle Molds

Heart-shaped silicone mould with a 3D grid texture for making small candles of about 5 × 4.5 × 2.5 cm. The raised grid pattern gives a modern, romantic finish, designed for Valentine's Day, anniversaries, weddings, guest favours, centrepieces and personalised gifts. It is used by beginners, makers and shops preparing themed collections, and also works for soaps or plaster and resin pieces with the same design.

What you need

• Wax: a pillar/moulding wax so the relief comes out sharp and the piece releases whole: Premium soy wax for figures and moulds, APF mouldable soy wax or Paraffin 56-58.
• Wick: size 4-5 cm (4-5 cm cotton wicks), the smallest size, given the candle's dimensions. Do a burn test.
• Red dye or pink dye and a fragrance of your choice.

Tips for use

1. Place the wick in the centre before pouring.
2. Pour at your wax's temperature; soy wax for figures at around 65 °C.
3. Tap the mould gently after pouring so the wax fills the grid well.
4. Let it cool completely and unmould by bending the silicone little by little.

FAQ

Does the grid show clearly with soy wax? Yes, if you use a moulding soy wax; container wax is too soft.

Can I use it for resin or plaster? Yes, both are compatible materials.
