Wax melts are small pieces of scented wax that melt in a warmer and fill your home with fragrance, no wick needed. They're easy to make: all you need is wax, a fragrance and a silicone mould in the shape you like best.

Which wax to use for wax melts
For moulded wax melts, a firm vegetable wax that releases easily from the mould and holds its shape works best. Our soy wax for figures and moulds is designed for exactly that. You can also try pure soy wax 46, with a low melting point, if you prefer softer melts that release their scent sooner.
How to make wax melts step by step
- Melt the wax in a double boiler or a wax melter.
- Add the fragrance, usually 6 to 10% of the wax weight, without exceeding the maximum stated on its data sheet.
- Stir gently for a couple of minutes.
- Pour into the silicone mould and let it cool completely before demoulding.
- Store them in a closed container for a few days so the scent settles.

Frequently asked questions
How do you use wax melts?
Place a piece in the dish of a warmer, tea-light or electric, and the heat melts it and releases the scent. They aren't lit with a wick.
How long does a wax melt last?
It depends on the wax, the fragrance and the warmer. When the melted wax stops giving off scent, remove it and replace it with a new piece.
Can I sell the wax melts I make?
Yes, with CLP labelling and the fragrance's safety data sheet. We explain it in selling candles in the EU.
