Silicone Mold for Pyramid Candles

GFSM-065 silicone mould for slender pyramid candles with a square base. It makes a 103 × 50 mm candle with clean, geometric lines, suitable for minimalist décor, gift sets and design collections, for makers and brands as well as beginners.

What you need for each candle

• Wax: use a moulding wax: Premium soy wax for figures and moulds, APF mouldable soy wax or Paraffin 56-58. Container waxes are too soft to release cleanly from a mould.
• Wick: size 4-5 cm, matched to the candle diameter (4-5 cm cotton wicks). The pyramid narrows towards the top, so do not go up a size. Do a test burn with your wax and fragrance.
• Wick threader to pass the wick through the base and wick holder to keep it centred.

Tips for use

1. Thread the wick with the threader and centre it at the mould opening with the holder.
2. Pour at the right temperature for your wax: around 65 °C for the soy wax for figures.
3. Keep a little wax aside: it can sink in the centre as it cools, and a second pour levels the base.
4. Let it cool completely, away from draughts, before unmoulding.
5. Unmould by gently stretching the silicone so you do not round off the edges or the tip.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use container soy wax? It is not ideal: it is soft, so the candle may lose its shape or stick to the mould. A moulding wax works better.

How much wax do I need per candle? Fill the mould with water, measure the millilitres and multiply by 0.9 to get the approximate grams of wax.
