Pure Yellow Beeswax – 100% Natural for Candles and Cosmetics

Pure yellow beeswax, 100% natural and unrefined, which keeps its golden-yellow colour and honey scent. Its hardness and slow, steady burn make it a good choice for moulded candles, pillar candles and rolled candles, as well as natural cosmetics, soaps and blends with other waxes.

Tips for use

• Heat the wax slowly in a double boiler and work between 70 and 75 ºC, without exceeding 85 ºC. Filter it before use if needed.
• Do not mix with water or use wet utensils. Let it cool gradually.
• On its own it can be too hard for container candles: blend it with other waxes. With soy wax, 10-30% beeswax usually works well; in other blends, 20-30%.
• It does not need fragrance: it already has a honey scent.
• Over time a whitish layer (bloom) may appear on the surface; this is natural and does not mean the wax has gone off.
