Features
- Reference: PSM-040
- Mould size: 65 × 50 mm
- Design: 3D cactus with side arms and ribbed texture
- Material: flexible, non-stick, heat-resistant silicone; reusable, durable and easy to unmould
- Compatible waxes: soy wax, beeswax, paraffin and gel wax
What you need for each candle
- Wax: use a moulding wax: Premium soy wax for figures and moulds, APF mouldable soy wax or Paraffin 56-58. Container waxes are too soft to release cleanly from a mould.
- Wick: size 4-5 cm, matched to the candle diameter (4-5 cm cotton wicks). Do a test burn with your wax and fragrance.
- Colour: green candle dye block for the cactus shade.
- Wick threader to pass the wick through the base and wick holder to keep it centred.
Tips for use
- Thread the wick with the threader and centre it at the mould opening with the holder.
- Melt the green dye into the wax and stir until the colour is even.
- Pour at the right temperature for your wax: around 65 °C for the soy wax for figures.
- Let it cool completely, away from draughts, before unmoulding.
- Unmould by gently stretching the silicone and free the arms first so they do not break.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use container soy wax? It is not ideal: it is soft, so the candle may lose its shape or stick to the mould. A moulding wax works better.
How much wax do I need per candle? Fill the mould with water, measure the millilitres and multiply by 0.9 to get the approximate grams of wax.
