HIGH QUALITY

Paraffin 48-50 or low melting point is mostly used for rehabilitation as it is an excellent way to hydrate and deeply treat hands and feet. To make a paraffin bath, you must first melt the wax at a controlled temperature so that it does not exceed 55°C.

Subsequently, it is applied to the part of the body to be treated (hands, feet, ankles, knees, elbows, etc.) and covered with plastic wrap and a towel to maintain heat for about 15 minutes.

Paraffin provides extra hydration and is ideal for treating muscle or joint pain, thanks to thermotherapy. It is a product widely used in rehabilitation to improve the condition of hands and feet.

Paraffin for treatment

A paraffin hand bath is a form of thermotherapy used to relieve muscle and joint pain, which is why it is often recommended for healing purposes in rehabilitation. In addition, these baths are an excellent way to hydrate the skin of your hands and feet, achieving soft and smooth skin.

However, it must be taken into account that the melting point of paraffin for this treatment ranges between 48º and 50º, and it should never be used at a temperature higher than 55º to avoid burns.

On the other hand, paraffin baths for treatments are contraindicated in cases of wounds or dermatitis in the area.

For this treatment, there are specific devices for professional use, although you can also melt the paraffin in a water bath, always controlling the temperature before applying it.

Furthermore, it is important to remember that not all paraffins have the same purposes and that it is better to use one specific for therapeutic purposes, like the one you can find in our store.

Paraffin baths 48-50

Cut the paraffin into smaller pieces so that it melts more easily. Then, melt the paraffin in a water bath for better dilution.

Once liquid, pour the contents into a container and let it cool for a few minutes until it reaches a temperature of 48 to 55 degrees Celsius. To check the temperature, use a thermometer.

When it reaches the right temperature, apply it with a brush or directly immerse your hands and feet, making several dips to obtain a thin film. Then, wrap your hands and feet with plastic wrap and cover with a towel to maintain temperature. Let it act for 15 minutes.

Remove the paraffin slowly, pulling the plastic wrap as if it were a glove. Finally, to conclude the process, perform a gentle massage to achieve greater hydration.
